Understanding the Role

The Desktop and Network Support Executive maintains the company's daily IT operations. In an active distribution, e-commerce, and logistics corporate workplace, downtime costs money. The selected candidate will manage workstations, resolve system bugs, oversee cloud platform access, maintain switch/router connectivity, and support office hardware peripherals.

This role requires a blend of hands-on physical troubleshooting and system cloud-tenant administration, making it ideal for tier-1 or tier-2 support professionals ready for wider infrastructure management responsibilities.

Detailed Key Responsibilities

1. Hardware and Peripheral Maintenance

• OEM Hardware Diagnostics: Troubleshooting Dell and Lenovo desktop computers and laptops, including hardware fault isolation, RAM/SSD upgrades, motherboard diagnostic checks, and display fixes.
• Peripheral Management: Setting up, configuring, and maintaining office printers, scanners, local network storage drives, and multi-user hardware accessories.

2. Operating System and Software Administration

• Desktop OS Environment: Deploying, installing, and maintaining Windows 10, Windows 11, and Linux desktop environments across corporate workstations.
• Legacy and Server OS Knowledge: Hands-on experience with Windows Server environments (2000, 2003, 2008) for legacy platform accessibility and internal domain support.
• Application Lifecycle Support: Installing, patching, and maintaining proprietary e-commerce platforms, productivity software, and Microsoft 2010 suite tools across departments.

3. Microsoft 365 Tenant Administration

• Standard management of the corporate Microsoft 365 ecosystem.
• Creating user profile accounts, assigning license seats, establishing group mailboxes, managing security protocols, and configuring Microsoft Teams and Outlook access across devices.

4. Network Architecture and Security Support

• Networking Fundamentals: Managing local IP routing, domain configuration, subnetting, DHCP reservations, and DNS lookup procedures via TCP/IP protocols.
• Hardware Routing and Switching: Configuring, tracking, and maintaining physical routers, managed network switches, and firewall security equipment to maintain uptime.

5. Technical Problem Solving and User Support

• Providing rapid, on-site first-line technical support to internal employees across departments.

Candidate Profile: Qualifications and Core Skills

Technical Expertise:

• Experience with OEM systems (Dell/Lenovo).
