Job Overview

We are seeking a highly skilled Infrastructure Engineer to join our team as a backfill candidate. This role combines hands-on infrastructure engineering, project ownership, technical leadership, and client-environment management.

The ideal candidate will have strong expertise in Microsoft Windows Server, Active Directory, Linux, AWS, patch management, vulnerability remediation, project coordination, and technical documentation. The individual will also act as a primary point of contact for infrastructure-related issues and coordinate activities across multiple technical teams.

Key Responsibilities

• Install, configure, maintain, and troubleshoot Windows Server 2019 and newer environments.
• Manage user access, permissions, and network interface configuration (NIC).
• Administer Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) and Ubuntu environments.
• Perform basic Linux command-line administration and understand core OS structures.
• Work with foundational shell scripting.
• Manage Active Directory, including:
  • User and access management
  • Trust relationship configuration
  • Group Policy Object (GPO) creation and implementation
  • Domain Controller promotion and demotion
  • Designing and implementing new AD environments
• Work with AWS infrastructure and services.
• Use Ivanti for patch deployment and management.
• Work with Rapid7 vulnerability scanning and remediation activities.
• Create deployment groups, schedule patches, validate deployments, and troubleshoot patching issues.
• Configure and execute vulnerability scans and interpret scan results.
• Coordinate remediation activities based on identified vulnerabilities.
• Develop and present Plans of Action and Milestones (POAMs).
• Coordinate meetings, project activities, milestones, and action items.
• Identify and escalate project risks proactively.
• Prepare clear written and verbal project and infrastructure status updates.
• Create and maintain Excel spreadsheets, trackers, and reports.
• Perform file comparisons and merging, calculations, pivot tables, and data analysis.
• Maintain hardware, software, vulnerability, and remediation trackers.
• Document, monitor, and maintain the complete client account environment.
• Serve as a primary point of contact for infrastructure issues.
• Coordinate with account teams, ISB Infrastructure, and corporate technical teams.
• Provide technical guidance and mentorship to less experienced team members.
