About the Role
As an SDET / Release Engineer, you will be the final quality check before new releases reach users.
Senior developers will build the features, while you will verify that those features work correctly across different platforms and devices.
This position is closer to an SDET or Release Engineer role than a traditional manual testing position.
You will work with Swift, SwiftUI, TypeScript, React, and React Native and test applications across multiple platforms.
Key Responsibilities
- Reproduce bugs on real devices and verify fixes.
- Check out branches and run applications across iOS, Android, and web.
- Perform first-pass verification of pull requests.
- Test new changes against the requirements provided in tickets.
- Perform manual and regression testing before releases.
- Test builds through TestFlight and Google Play internal builds.
- Create clear bug reproduction steps.
- Write test cases and document findings in Jira.
- Prepare a short written plan each morning.
- Submit a written summary of work each evening.
- Gradually develop automation to reduce repetitive manual testing.
- Build Maestro flows, snapshot test suites, and CI checks over time.

Work Style
The engineering team follows an async-first working style.
The typical workflow includes:

You will report to the lead engineer in Delhi and work as part of the established India-based engineering team.
